So much more than just the somewhat slang tense of AWAKE ...

Details

WOKE is so much more than just the somewhat slang tense of AWAKE; it’s the idea of waking up from a deep sleep and seeing things clearly for the first time. In this two-week series you will take your cue from Ephesians 5:14, where the Apostle Paul makes reference to a popular song lyric of his day; “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” He used this lyric along with all of Ephesians 5 to speak about the darker places in our lives; the places we don’t like to talk about; the things that we keep in the darkness of our hearts and we don’t expose it to the light. Discover what it truly means to be WOKE.

Week 1- You'll walk students through Ephesians 4 & 5 and how they slowly can drift away from God and into the darkness and not even know it. We are ASLEEP.

Week 2 - You'll walk students through Ephesians 4 & 5 to look at how Paul tells us to WAKE UP but we can't do it on our own.
