The problem is that we abuse the heart. Think about all of the influences, choices, and addictions we allow to enter our lives. The heart is sacred to God. It is our soul, the deep place where God indwells. Sadly enough, we abuse our hearts by not guarding them. This four-week series will raise our awareness of God's view of the heart.

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 4:23

Week 1 - Prioritize your heart. "Above all else..." It is easy for us to protect the things that are important to us (relationships, houses, cars, etc.). This talk is about building a healthy theology of the heart! Why does God value the heart more than our actions or words? We need to open our heart to the Lord and learn to protect it from the world.

Week 2 - Protect what is precious. When we look at the armor of God in Ephesians 6, all of the pieces God gives are to protect what is precious. This precious object is our heart, the center piece of our relationship with Him. Have you put on the full armor of God? If not, why not now? Let's take a stand against the evil one and his deception.

Week 3 - Protect the promise.
One common cliche in our culture is, "Follow your heart." Really? When we use this statement, we are talking about a feeling more than a truth. Girls and guys should guard and protect their hearts. This talk centers on relationships and how we give our hearts away frivolously.

Week 4 - Put up your dukes.
We have a "one-two punch" when doing battle with Satan, which consists of prayer and godly living. Let's talk about how we can bring the full power of God to our lives to defeat Satan's attacks.

There are plenty of people who are grateful that you do what you do. Your students are, their families are, and your church is, even though they may not say it often enough. I want to say thanks on behalf of them, and model the way we need to be saying thanks to the leaders that serve alongside us—in ten different ways—through this ebook.

Thank YOU!
