This is a fun and simple video-based game that will surprise a lot of students. We see these symbols every day, but do we know their official names? For example, # is not a hashtag, but is actually called an octothorpe! The others may be simple for us, but students have a tough time! Simply play a question slide that will show one of the symbols on the screen. Give contestants time to either guess, buzz in, or write down their answers. If they’re correct, play the next slide that has a, “Right” sound effect. If they’re wrong, play the slide after that which has a, “Wrong!” sound effect.

All slides are animated so they flow seamlessly together.

This Resource Includes:
• Gameplay instructions (pdf file)
• Title Slide (jpeg file)
• 45 short video clips (15 emoji symbols, 15 “Correct!” slides, and 15 “Wrong Slides” – mp4 files)

There are plenty of people who are grateful that you do what you do. Your students are, their families are, and your church is, even though they may not say it often enough. I want to say thanks on behalf of them, and model the way we need to be saying thanks to the leaders that serve alongside us—in ten different ways—through this ebook.

Thank YOU!
