Details
The Throne of My Heart is a four-week series that challenges students to take an honest look at what’s really in control of their lives. Using the imagery of the heart as a home, this series walks through four “rooms” to reveal what we often show, value, hide, and consume, and ultimately asks: Is Jesus truly King of your heart?
Students will wrestle with the reality that Jesus doesn’t want to be a guest in their lives. He wants to be King. Through practical teaching and real-life application, they’ll be challenged to stop performing, let go of what doesn’t satisfy them, bring hidden things to light, and choose what truly fills their hearts.
Series Overview:
Week 1: “The Living Room” (What People See)
Focuses on outward appearance rather than the condition of the heart, challenging students to stop performing for others and to care more about who they are on the inside.
Lesson 2: “The Bedroom” (What You Value)
Explores how material possessions and what we chase after can take the throne of our hearts, showing that only God can truly satisfy.
Lesson 3: “The Closet” (What You Hide)
Confronts the hidden areas of our lives, reminding students that nothing is hidden from God and that real freedom comes through honesty and surrender.
Lesson 4: “The Dining Room” (What You Consume)
Highlights how what we take in and who we surround ourselves with shape our hearts, challenging students to choose what feeds them spiritually.
