When working with student leaders, it's critical they know that they need to be a follower of Christ first and foremost. This means they also need to be followers of the people God puts in their lives. Sometimes, it's easy to identify who that may be: a parent, a youth pastor, a coach, etc. But what about when the tiny 6th grader on their team speaks up with an incredible idea that's different-and better-than theirs? To be a great leader, your students need to know when to get out of the way and follow others' ideas as well. This lesson focuses on training your students to have eyes and ears for when God is using another person. This attribute takes humility, flexibility, and a desire for God's glory more than our own.

HOW TO USE THIS RESOURCE:

Option 1: Use this in a Group Setting
Follow along in the Facilitator's Guide and you'll find instructions, time frames, and extra notes just for you. The student handouts are on a separate file; be sure to make copies for each student in your group.

Option 2: Use this in a Mentoring Relationship or for an individual student.
Just make a copy of the Student Handout and give it (or send it) to the student (all the instructions they need are already there). If you are mentoring a student, just make an extra copy of the Student Handout for yourself and walk alongside the student as he/she goes through this study.
