Puzzle Roulette is a team-based, all-play game that will get your students working together. Before each round, the wheels will spin and “randomly” select a challenge/puzzle and a team order. Each team must scramble to get into the correct order BEFORE they can begin working on their puzzle.
With 25 different Puzzle/Order combinations, Puzzle Roulette is super replayable. Use the Quick Start folder to jump right in with a pre-built game, or use the Build Your Own folder to select specific challenges and line orders.
HOW TO PLAY:
The wheel on the left will spin and “randomly” select a challenge/puzzle. Then, the wheel on the right will spin and “randomly” select an order for the teams to line up by (height, age, etc.).
Once a team has successfully gotten itself into the correct order, the challenge begins.
Each Challenge/Puzzle has a different win requirement. The team that wins scores 100 points.
In each challenge, teams will send the person at the front of the line to their station to work on the puzzle/challenge. Once they have done their part, they go to the back of the line, and the next person comes to the station to continue working. The puzzle station should be 10-12 feet away from the front of the line. Clearly mark the front of the line and penalize teams for creeping forward.
Tiny Puzzle: Teams race to solve a 12-piece puzzle. Print and cut out the provided file or pick up some small puzzles from the dollar store. Each player places one piece and then goes to the back of the line. First team to finish wins!
Paper Airplane: Teams use the allotted time to fold a paper airplane. Each player makes one fold and then goes to the back of the line. When the time is up, test the planes. The plane that flies the furthest wins.
Bottle Flip: Teams compete to land the most flips before time expires. Players must go to the back of the line after one successful flip.
Stick Spell: Teams race to spell TEAM using “sticks”. You’ll need 13 “sticks” per team. These can be Q-tips, toothpicks, popsicle sticks, pipe cleaners, or any other similar item. Each player places one “stick” and then goes to the back of the line. First team to use the sticks to clearly spell the word “TEAM” wins 100 points.
Cup Stack: Teams compete to create the tallest stack of cups (alternating up and down) before time expires. Each player places one cup and then goes to the back of the line. If the tower falls, they must start over. The team with the tallest tower when the time expires wins.
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
The supplies you need for this game should all be things you have lying around the church building, and one puzzle that you will need to print and cut out.
Stick Spell: 13 “Sticks” per team: could be Q-tips, tooth picks, popsicle sticks, pipe cleaners…
Paper Airplane: 1 sheet of paper per team.

Tiny Puzzle: Print and cut out the included file (1 per team), or buy 1 small puzzle per team at the dollar store.
