Using any communication platform, youth workers can encourage, exhort, and equip their teenagers to live their faith daily using 140 characters.

Whether you use a texting service, a texting app, or just post things on social media, these themed and thoughtful devotions can quickly and easily inter-ject Jesus into the lives of your teenagers. Simply copy the 140 characters and paste it into a platform of your choice. Each text includes a thought and/or question and a shortened link to a Bible verse on Bible Gateway. Use these thoughts later in the week as points of discussion with your teenagers. See what God can do when your group is meditating on the same ideas. This volume covers the books of Philippians and Colossians.

Monday - If Jesus started something in you, He will finish it. What’s your next step? How can you be closer?

Bible Gateway passage: Philippians 1:3-6 - New International Version

Thanksgiving and Prayer - I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Tuesday - Love is the most important marker of Christian maturity. Who do you struggle to love? How can you show them today?

Bible Gateway passage: Philippians 1:9-11 - New International Version

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ-to the glory and praise of God.

Wednesday - Paul was imprisoned 4 sharing his faith, & he still shared the Gospel. What experience can u use 2 share the Gospel?

Bible Gateway passage: Philippians 1:12-14 - New International Version

Paul's Chains Advance the Gospel - Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel. As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ.

Thursday - Paul’s life belonged to Jesus. His death meant he was WITH Jesus. How can you focus your entire life on Jesus today?

Bible Gateway passage: Philippians 1:20-26 - New International Version

I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

Friday - Paul warns that suffering for our faith WILL happen when we fol-low Jesus. How have you seen this in your life?

Bible Gateway passage: Philippians 1:27-30 - New International Version

Life Worthy of the Gospel - Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you.
