A new way to measure distance based on everyone's favorite Jesus-loving chicken restaurant!

Details

Inspired by two of the same restaurants a quarter mile from each other, we've got a new measurement of distance: the chick-fi-lap. So, if a chick-fi-lap equals half a mile, how many chick-fi-laps would you need to walk to equal the Boston Marathon? Walk the Golden Gate Bridge? Walk to the moon?

Ways to play:
- Transition game: just run through it quickly between elements of your service—just have kids shout out their answers until you hear the right number from the crowd
- One contestant on stage: Have your stage contestant establish a guess, and the rest of the room must move to a part of the room if they think the guess is too low, too high, or just right
- Team play (recommended): Create teams (rows, small groups…however!) and have them record their guesses on a whiteboard or something similar. Assign points in a closest-without-going-over format (For example, give 100 points to the three teams that are closest without going over…and 300 points for any time that gets the number exactly right!)

About this Product
Contextualize this to your group with a couple of created slides to really elevate this. For example, "[your church] to [area high school]," "[your church] to [your summer camp]," or "[coffee shop your youth group hangs out at] to [your town's movie theater]"...and watch it become the way you start measuring distance in your town! If you've got a CFA nearby, see if you can snag some freebies (or buy some cookies) to give away as a prize for winners!
