Put your students' brains (and spelling skills) to the test in this brain teaser screen game. Each round, icons (two for the round 1-7; three for rounds 8-10) are presented. They images have words associated with them that are pronounced the same but spelled different. This is called a ""homophone"" (ex. to, two, and too). See if students can figure out the answer, and if you want to add to the challenge, make them spell the word that goes with each image.
You can run this as an all play (first to shout the answer wins candy, divide into teams and most rounds right wins), or as a stage game (bring up 2-4 smarty-pants to face off for most correct rounds).
