Get to Know Me: Parents & Students Edition (V.2) is here to help leaders facilitate relational growth for families. Volume 2 has fresh new questions designed to help parents bond with their students as they learn about each other and laugh. It's perfect for any event where parents and students are both present. Get to Know Me allows for the student and parent to pair up and answer trivia questions that explore how well they know one another while also learning thoughts and opinions that may not be shared in everyday conversation.

Each round has two questions, one directed toward students and one directed to parents. For each question, both family members should write their answers down privately (without the other person seeing). When the host asks for answers to be revealed, both participants will show their answers. If the answers are the same, awesome! If not, then participants are getting to know each other!

The host can read the room and encourage friendly competition between a few pairs of parent/student partners, or capitalize on the opportunity to connect by emphasizing “there are no winners or losers; use this as an opportunity to learn more about your partner!”

If you're low on time, you can cut the game in half and only use some of the questions. Feel free to work the room and see if others can guess the correct answer before the participants reveal what they wrote down!

About this Product
• Set the Tone – Keep the atmosphere fun and lighthearted. Remind players the goal isn’t to be right but to connect. • Model First – Have a leader or volunteer demonstrate a round so everyone knows how it works. • Use a Timer – Keep rounds moving with 15-30 seconds per question so energy stays high. You can allow longer if you allow for explanations behind the answers. • Celebrate Answers – Encourage clapping, laughter, or funny “awards” for the most surprising responses. • Tie to Teaching – If you’re able, link it to a theme (friendship, community, relationships).
