Details

Doug's note: Oh my! Super clever. Easy purchase--all day long!

This youth group Christmas event is based on the show, “Cutthroat Kitchen." Contestants battle for advantages and disadvantages in order to make the best gingerbread house.

Students will be incentivized to bring their friends by being awarded competition "cash" for each friend they bring. Small groups will then be challenged to work together throughout the competition.

The event begins with four different mini-game competitions where teams are awarded competition "cash." This prize money is used in an auction for advantages/disadvantages during the main competition.

The main competition focuses on the four teams constructing a gingerbread house with their given supplies while battling any disadvantages that are thrown their way.

The team judged to be the best gingerbread house will be awarded a prize or an ice cream party for their team.

What size youth group is this for?
This event is perfect for any size group! Anywhere from less than 20 students to over 70 students! Adjust the team sizes and the number of teams depending on how many students. For youth groups of less than 30 students, three teams may be a better option than four.

Time Estimate: Anywhere from an hour to and hour and a half of activities for your group!
