Trivia with a twist. The questions are simple, but the most obvious answer is off-limits.

Details

Avoid the Obvious is a trivia game with a twist. Each round, players face simple questions with multiple possible responses, but the most obvious choice is off-limits! Can your students think quickly on their feet, outsmart the other team, and avoid blurting out the “easy” answer?

OVERVIEW:
Two teams compete to answer trivia questions with multiple answers, but the most obvious answer is off-limits.

HOW IT WORKS:
Each round, a simple trivia question will appear on screen, but the most obvious answer is off limits. (Example: Name one of the first 10 presidents… but you can’t say George Washington).

Have teams send up a new contestant each round. Whichever team has the most points at the end of 12 rounds is the winner!

About this Product
If the first team gets it wrong, let the other team attempt to steal. Decide if you’ll allow teams to go back and forth with multiple guesses, or if you’ll allow answers from the audience after both teams fail to produce a correct guess. Do whatever works best for your group, but be consistent!
