The 4th of July is big in U.S. history but what else happened on this day? It's time to find out!

Details

There are plenty of reasons to celebrate the 4th of July: fireworks, family, and, of course, freedom. But did you know that this date has seen all kinds of surprising events throughout history? From ancient times to outer space, there’s more to July 4th than meets the eye. In this screen game, your group will be challenged with a series of true-or-false questions. Each one presents a historical event, and players must decide whether it actually happened on a July 4th. For example: • Did King Arthur establish his famous "round table" of knights on July 4, 1155? • Was Lewis Carroll inspired to write Alice in Wonderland on July 4, 1862? Whether the answer is true or false, a fun historical fact will follow so everyone learns something along the way! Here are a few different ways to play: • Neighbor Play: Have everyone pair up and compete to see who gets more correct answers. • All Play: Everyone stands. Players give a thumbs up or down for each question. If they guess wrong, they sit—the last person standing wins! • Team Play: Invite two teams on stage to take turns guessing. The team with the most correct answers wins! However you play, this game is a great way to connect, laugh, and learn something new about what makes July 4th so memorable, and beyond a single date!
