The Colossians Bible Study Booklet is an eight-week dive into the letter to the Colossians! By using a list of simple questions, young people develop study habits that will last a lifetime! We use these booklets on our mission trips and in our weekly small groups. Sometimes we have kids fill them out ahead of time, and sometimes we do it together as a group, processing through the questions together. It has been a really effective tool in our ministry.

The resource includes editable versions in Word and Publisher files so you can tweak, change, or adjust the booklet however you want. It includes a printable PDF that prints in booklet form, as well as PDF that does a straight print through the booklet. In addition, a title slide and content slide are included if you want to write a lesson to use with the booklet (lessons not included).

The point of this study is to practice basic questions we can use anytime we try to study scripture. The First Glance section, with the who/what/when/where/how questions, is all about context; making sure we have thought through who was involved, what they were doing, and why these words were said to them or through them.

The Digging Deeper section is about asking why God wanted these specific verses to be preserved for us to read thousands of years later. What’s important about them? What is God trying to teach us? And are there ways in which we can learn from them and apply them to our lives?

This becomes a journal students can save and look back on to remind themselves of what God taught them through these verses. These questions with any passage of Scripture are a great tool for personal quiet time and Bible study!
