Trees? Really?

Yes, really. And not just any trees—some very specific trees. Look, life is real—gritty, sweaty, physically-demanding real. It’s all well and good to think out spiritual things in your head and carry lofty theological concepts around in your brain, but eventually your feet have to hit the ground and walk out the door into real life.

This VIVA! Series will have your group examining how 4 trees in scripture demonstrate real-life implications for us as they talk about:

Week 1 – The Oak: Absalom’s run-in with the oak tree reminds us that in real life, there are things that will try to hold us back.

Week 2 – The Fig: Even Jesus faced situations where normal life just didn’t seem to go his way.

Week 3 – The Sycamore: Zacchaeus shows us sometimes in life we just need a leg up.

Week 4 – The Olive: Paul demonstrates that God’s kingdom has come to bring new life to all lives.

There are plenty of people who are grateful that you do what you do. Your students are, their families are, and your church is, even though they may not say it often enough. I want to say thanks on behalf of them, and model the way we need to be saying thanks to the leaders that serve alongside us—in ten different ways—through this ebook.

Thank YOU!
