Too often, for students, the church appears to be saying, "Stop feeling that way." In Sharing In You we seek to explore our God given range of emotions. Through the life of David we see someone who has felt life's highest highs and lowest lows. Through these conversations students will also see that they are not alone in the hardship that is adolescence.

This curriculum was written as part of a decentralized weekend retreat. This means that when we did it there was no large group sessions with a main speaker. The whole group did come together to worship together. If your time and space allowed you could include (SHORT) leader testimonies that help to normalize the student's life experiences. The main idea for students to understand is that they are not alone.

Though this was written as a more intensive retreat it could easily be adapted into a four week curriculum. The list of needed supplies is small, cheap, and for the most part replaceable with a little creativity.

Note: Need 1 glow stick per student, plain saltine crackers, and something to throw.
