"A fun and fast-paced game where players must match the action on the screen and not be the slowest one doing it.
Start by having students form a circle around the room. Feel free to create an inner circle if space is needed. Have everyone standing facing clockwise.
When the music starts (loud upbeat music works best) players begin to walk single file in their circle(s) in a clockwise direction.
Use the four slides (Title Slide – Strut – Gobble - Roast) and click them on the screen one at a time in any order you choose. You will find yourself clicking through the slides numerous times in order for this game to work effectively.
Here is what players must do for each slide:
TITLE SLIDE: Players are standing upright and walking in a clockwise direction.
STRUT: Players must put their arms to their sides like wings (still clockwise in single file) while flapping their arms and moving their head forward and backward.
GOBBLE: Players crouch down and put their right hand under their chin and dangle it like a turkey’s snood. They must continue walking like that (still clockwise in single file) while making ‘gobble’ noises like a turkey.
ROAST: Players immediately stop where they are, lie on the ground, and put themselves in a fetal position (lie on their side in a ball while wrapping their arms around their knees that are against their chest). They are now imitating a roasted turkey on a serving dish.
Use leaders as judges to determine those who are too slow to match the pose on the screen. Those players are eliminated.
Continue until there is ONE winner.
This is a fast-paced game, and players will start to get tired pretty fast, which can make for some fast eliminations.
