In this game, each person has 30 seconds to share about what they are thankful for based on the topic shown on the screen.

Details

Speed Thanking is an all-play interactive mixer game/activity that helps students vocalize things they are thankful for.

Start by having students form two parallel lines, with each student facing another student in the line across from them. The distance between the lines should only be about three or four feet.

If you have an uneven number of students, have a leader join in, or choose more than one if you prefer.

Display one of the Speed Thanking slides on the screen. Have each student answer the question to the person standing across from them.

After 30 seconds, the other person shares their answer. Use the included 30-second countdown timer to keep track of time properly.

Once both sides have answered the question, one of the lines moves one person to the right. The person at the end of the line will go to the opposite end.

Note: Only have one line be the one that shifts. This way, it reduces the number of times the same students may match up.

Use as many slides as you wish. You can play this all in one night, or stretch it out as a special segment during your weekly youth gatherings.

This Resource Includes:

  • Complete PowerPoint game file
