A Sidekick game that works great over Zoom!

In this screen game, students compete by making Coronavirus Quarantine-themed lists… yup, that’s really the game! Each round has a category and the challenge is to make the longest list of things that fit within each category. There are two versions of gameplay.

Face-Off Version: Pick two, three, or four participants (really you can use as many as you want), or divide the group into teams and appoint a spokesperson for each team. Let Sidekick 'Photo Fury' land on the category (example: Things that Have Been Cancelled). One by one, students/teams name an item that fits in that category. If something is repeated or someone gets stumped, they are out for that round. The last person standing wins the round.

Rapid Fire: Divide the larger group into smaller teams or pull up "contestants." Let Photo Fury select your category, and give 30-seconds for each team to make the longest list possible (pro-tip: have them write them on a paper they can hold up to the screen at the end of the round). After the time is up, have them count up the number of items on their lists. Scoring can be determined by simply having teams tally one point for every item listed or one point per round to the team/contestant with the longest list.

You could also play a Scattegories or Boggle-style version with Rapid Fire where you get points for anything you listed that nobody else did.

This is a great game to get students thinking and talking.
