Ruin good vibes on purpose! A funny, fast-paced game where players wreck happy topics using five or fewer words.

Details

Want a hilarious, low-prep game that gets your students laughing, thinking creatively, and trying to one-up each other in the best (and worst) way? Kill the Vibe in Five is your next crowd-favorite.

This game takes something everyone loves—a pleasant, feel-good topic—and challenges players to ruin it in five or fewer words. For example, the screen might say: “A Picnic in the Park,” so a student might write: “Attacked By a Bear.” Boom. Vibe? Killed.

It’s quick to set up, easy to explain, and guaranteed to bring big laughs. It helps students get creative and witty while still being appropriate and accessible.

How to Play:

  • Display one of the 12 topics on the screen.
  • Students write a phrase (five words max) that would ruin it.
  • Have them reveal and read their responses.
  • The group votes on the funniest, darkest, or most unexpected “vibe killer.”
  • Keep score for individuals or teams—or just play for the laughs!

So go ahead... ruin something good. On purpose. In five or fewer words.
