FaithWorks: A Study in James is a four-week teaching series created by Experience Scripture that explores some of the main themes in the New Testament book of James. Throughout this series, students will be challenged to think about the relationship between their faith and their actions. While many pit faith and works against each other, James explains how our faith and actions are meant to work together to produce life change and tangible actions. The series breakdown:
Week 1: Faith and Works
Week 2: Taming the Tongue
Week 3: Do Not Show Favoritism
Week 4: Facing Our Trials with Joy
While the message of James can often be simple, its wisdom is life-changing if truly put into practice. This series addresses some key topics in the lives of students: how to handle trials, how to treat people who are different than you, and how to use words wisely. Throughout the series, helpful analogies and illustrations have been incorporated into the manuscripts to help provide memorable explanations of the Text.
In addition to four fully-developed manuscripts, this series includes small group discussion guides, PowerPoint presentations for each lesson, and ready-to-post social media images.
