You can have students go for a set time to each station and rotate through (author recommendation), or you can set this up as a “free for all” where you have the eight stations available and students go to the stations at their own pace and preference.

We have used these at our summer camp, retreats, midweek programs, student leadership training and volunteer meetings.

With a 15 to 20 minute opening and 15 to 20 minute closing/debrief, the entire experience, beginning to end, can last 2 ½ to 3 hours. I have yet to have any student complain about the length of time or choose to be completely disengaged!
