Short cuts and excuses are easy to come by these days. Settling for less has become the norm, and perseverance the odd man out. The problem is, when it comes to following Christ, there’s no room for short cuts or excuses. And when it comes to leading others, these things will always take a cut out of our impact. As Christ-followers, and as leaders, we are called to press on, to stick with it even when it’s hard or inconvenient. This Student Leadership lesson is designed to help students recognize the moments they are most likely to take a shortcut and put into practice the unwavering perseverance of examples from the book of Daniel.

As with all LeaderTrek Student Leadership resources, this one includes a leaders’ guide (for the primary youth leader to facilitate) and a students’ guide. Use this for your Student Leadership Team, or present it to a few key students to do-on-their-own and help them develop their leadership skills.

There are plenty of people who are grateful that you do what you do. Your students are, their families are, and your church is, even though they may not say it often enough. I want to say thanks on behalf of them, and model the way we need to be saying thanks to the leaders that serve alongside us—in ten different ways—through this ebook.

Thank YOU!
