While our culture pushes independence and self-sufficiency, the life that Jesus sets for us is one of sacrifice and surrender. Being a follower of Jesus means that we choose to abide and remain in Jesus. As a branch connected to a vine, we do not exist by ourselves or for ourselves.

This four week series goes deep into John 15:1-11 as students are challenged to abide in Jesus.

Each week is packed with resources to make you successful as you lead your students to get connected, trust God, prevent soul rot, and bear fruit in their relationship with Jesus.

Series Topics
Week 1 – “Connecting to the Vine” - Using a very detailed visual example, Jesus explains that God is the Vinedresser, Jesus is the Vine, and we are the branches.

Week 2 – “Trusting the Vinedresser” - Abiding in Jesus means that we are subject to the care and control of the Vinedresser. Trusting the Vinedresser means that we receive the goodness and nourishment of our connection with Jesus, and it means we allow God to guide our growth.

Week 3 – “Preventing Soul Rot” - Abiding in Jesus requires being deeply connected to the vine. By our own selfishness or even though circumstances, rot can creep in on us.

Week 4 – “Bearing Fruit” - When we abide in Jesus, the True Vine, and allow God to guide our growth, we produce an abundance of fruit that demonstrates our connectedness to Jesus.
