It is based on the story of King Joash and Jehoiada--the priest found in 2 Chronicles 24, and asks the questions “How real is your faith? Is it based on really following after Jesus, or is your faith about acting the way someone else expects you to act?”

This resource includes: A complete sermon (2100+ words) [Word file] A small group leader guide (Both in Word files and an unedited PDF) A complete screen game called “Who Followed Who” Stage design ideas Comprehensive graphics package Social media integration plan Pre & post service music playlist A worship set A unicorn

Andrew Larsen

After 15 years in student ministry, I was recently demoted to senior pastor. My friend Tim and I use DYM as an excuse to hang out during office hours and to fund our families' Disney addictions. My wife and I have 4 boys. No, we are not trying for a little girl.

I love Jesus, my wife, all 5 of my children, and Andrew J Larsen. I'm stuck living where most of you vacation, and I go to Disney World way too much. Did I mention I like to party?

Great Complete One-Off Lesson
We used this lesson to bridge the week between series. I taught it more from a storytelling perspective than a sermon. It took only a super small amount of adaption to teach it to my group. I also really liked the angle of the small group discussion. This passage and story is right where most teenagers are. Buy this noise! :)
I had never seen this passage of scripture in a sermon before. And being the honest pastor I am, I had actually never noticed it before. But this sermon was brilliant. It was totally new to our students (and me) with a great take-away lesson. We bought #iwokeuplikethis and #sorrynotsorry as well and made it into a series! It was a great series for our students.

There are plenty of people who are grateful that you do what you do. Your students are, their families are, and your church is, even though they may not say it often enough. I want to say thanks on behalf of them, and model the way we need to be saying thanks to the leaders that serve alongside us—in ten different ways—through this ebook.

Thank YOU!
