Details

The book of Proverbs is written like a bunch of tweets, small phrases or sentences with less than 140 characters. Each one is written with a purpose and a hope to impart wisdom to those who read it. Our hope with this new teaching series, #trending, is that God's truth would trend in our community. Does what I say matter to those who read it? Am I an encouragement? Is what I say worth retweeting? As we go through this series, we will discover the power of our tweets and how we must learn to make a difference in the lives of others.

Week 1- #Discover - Proverbs 19:21
What is our "life-purpose"? God has one for each of us and we must learn to #discover it and seek it out. Let's #discover all He has for us! Let's understand His purpose. Twitter is a great place to #discover the things we like.

Week 2 - @Connect - Proverbs 27:17
Having friends matters, but being a friend that can be trusted is even better. We're not talking about our friends; we're talking about how to be a friend. How do we @connect with others in a way that it is an encouragement to those who read our tweets?

Week 3 - Home - Proverbs 10:30
Separation from God is a bad thing. Proverbs describes those who are far from God as "wicked," but God desires for His people to be "righteous." In this talk, we discover the difference between the wicked and the righteous, and we learn how to bridge the gap.

Week 4 - Me - Proverbs 10:9
How can we live guilt-free lives? Our honesty before God is imperative to a healthy relationship with Him. We can't hide our sin from God. We need to honestly learn how to repent, change, and come clean with the Lord. We must be who God created us to be, living lives with honesty and integrity. Let's quit fooling ourselves and others by trying to be someone we're not.
