A positive attitude is a powerful tool for leaders, but it cannot come from burying one’s head in the sand and pretending nothing is wrong. Godly leaders recognize and acknowledge life’s hardships but don’t allow that to be their only focus—they display godly positivity which is looking to the Lord and relying on his character and promises in the midst of trial. In this lesson students will study worship in light of lament and discuss how to develop godly positivity. Then, they’ll create a tangible reminder to look to the Lord rather than choosing discouragement and negativity.

There are plenty of people who are grateful that you do what you do. Your students are, their families are, and your church is, even though they may not say it often enough. I want to say thanks on behalf of them, and model the way we need to be saying thanks to the leaders that serve alongside us—in ten different ways—through this ebook.

Thank YOU!
