In this screen-based game, students guess the Christmas movie title by its converted Midi (8 bit) theme song.

Details

In this screen-based game, students guess the Christmas movie title by its converted Midi (8 bit) theme song.

Gameplay:
Choose 4 to 6 pairs of students (this can be done with less, but the more students involved the more fun it is). Allow them to pick 1 adult leader per group. The theme song will play, and students will guess what the movie is by shouting out, or buzzing in, or ringing a bell (whatever resource you have at your disposal). If they do not know the answer their adult leader can help them by acting it out. The leader is not allowed to speak but can act the movie out so students can answer. This is a great team-builder for students and leaders! Each correct answer gets the team a point, and the team with the most points wins a prize.

Variation:
You can also have all teams guess answers by writing it on a dry-erase board – leaders still have to act the movie out – but everyone can submit an answer. This makes the game more high-stakes.

This Resource Includes:
• Complete PowerPoint game file
• Individual (10 Q&A + instructions + tiebreaker) game slides (jpeg files)
• Individual movie theme audio files (wav files)
• Title slide (jpeg file)
