A one-off message on the genealogy of Jesus found in Matthew 1:1-17.

This message is about overcoming whatever it is your students struggle with in their past. Teenagers will be encouraged—based on Jesus’ family history— to live life the way they know they are called to, regardless of what their family, or they, have done in the past. Our future doesn't always have to be defined by our past mistakes, or the mistakes of our family.

This message drives home the point that just because something bad is in your students’ past, doesn’t mean it must be in their future! Students must not allow themselves to lose sight of where they’ve come from, and how got they there.

This Resource Includes:
• Complete message manuscript (Word file)
• Title Slide, verses, and big points in a PowerPoint Presentation

After spending over a decade leading student ministries in the Bible Belt, the Lord called Ryan and his family to pack up and move to Vancouver, WA - a suburb of the Portland, OR metropolitan area, to plant a church. He has been married to Clarissa for over 6 years (often getting mistaken to be Clarissa's father, not her husband) and together they have one son, Banner (who people always assume is not Ryan's, because Banner is both smart and handsome)!

Unique message, everything you need!

This was awesome. I have never taught on a genealogy - and although I knew everything that this message taught, I just thought it was too much work to break it down and stretch it into a message. However - this does a great job and doing all the work for you. I dont even think I need to tweak anything.

I think it would make a great laid back message - and I guarantee you youre kids wont forget it! (They will ALWAYS remember it every time they read a genealogy lol).
