Details

Editor's note: This was not a shaming message to stop using social media, but a very organized, clear and encouraging warning of what we are missing out on because of social media. I loved how the author incorporated interactive discussion questions for students. Most importantly, I loved the focus on how to use Jesus as our example to interact and be intentional with others. The author transitioned the end of the message into a great opportunity to think about our own relationship with Jesus and share the gospel.

It is rare to see someone that is NOT holding a cell phone or some type of electronic device. We live in a society where social media is the norm. Although Jesus did not use social media, He was extremely social toward other people. He was well aware of the fact that social media would be a thing of the future. Imagine what Jesus’ ministry might have been like if He had not physically engaged the people? What if Jesus had been anti-social? What about us? When does social media become anti-social? Find out in this one-off message.
