Student leaders will always be huge role models and influencers, whether they feel like it or not. When they understand that being a good role model is a critical part of their ministry—and that it doesn’t just happen—they can lead with the balance and integrity we hope for them to have.

Details

One of the most frustrating parts of student leadership is having a front row seat to the moments where your students, whom you love to watch grow and take risks, throw away their influence by making a questionable decision. However, the truth is, many times students view leadership simply as a thing you do, no matter how often the vocabulary of the phrase “You are a leader,” says that it’s also who you are. Use this resource to start the conversation about what it means to live the part of being a student leader well.

HOW TO USE THIS RESOURCE:

Option 1: Use this in a Group Setting
Follow along in the Facilitator’s Guide and you’ll find instructions, time frames, and extra notes just for you.  The student handouts are on a separate file; be sure to make copies for each student in your group.

Option 2: Use this in a Mentoring Relationship or for an individual student.
Just make a copy of the Student Handout and give it (or send it) to the student (all the instructions they need are already there).  If you are mentoring a student, just make an extra copy of the Student Handout for yourself and walk alongside the student as he/she goes through this study.
