What’s the opposite of a giraffe? Get your whole group laughing—and debating--quickly with this game!

Details

There’s something really fun about watching students come up with the opposite for something that has no obvious opposite. Students go head-to-head in a game of creativity and quick wit that will keep the rest of the group laughing.

Here’s how the game works:

  • Bring two students (or groups of students) to the front of the room
  • The two students (or groups) compete in a head-to-head format.
  • An item is shown on the screen, and each student will quickly make up an opposite of that item (there is no correct answer for the item shown doesn’t have an opposite).
  • As there are no correct answers in this game, the game emcee (or the rest of the group) can vote on the more appropriate answer.
  • The funny part of this game is hearing the student responses!
