    "longDescription": "<p>This is an upfront activity for your weekly youth program leading up to and during the Thanksgiving season. It can also be done using groups, with one person from each group taking a turn against someone from each of the other groups.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>Back in the day, this was called a &quot;&quot;sword drill,&quot;&quot; where students would quickly race to find the Bible verse reference.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>Use the graphics provided to place a Bible verse one at a time on the screen. Select as many participants as you desire for each round to race against one another.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>The first person to find the verse reads it out loud. Encourage them to share what the verse has to do with being thankful.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>Set the expectation before selecting participants that there is a sharing component beyond just finding and reading the verse.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>Have some physical Bibles available for students who may not have one.<br />\r\nTake a few moments to explain how to use a physical Bible (i.e., using the table of contents, chapters, and verse numbers).</p>\r\n\r\n<p>Split up each round by switching between using physical Bibles and digital Bibles to give all students an opportunity to participate. It can also be done using groups, with one person from each group taking a turn against someone from each of the other groups.&lt;/p&gt;\r\n\r\n&lt;p&gt;Back in the day, this was called a &amp;quot;&amp;quot;sword drill,&amp;quot;&amp;quot; where students would quickly race to find the Bible verse reference.&lt;/p&gt;\r\n\r\n&lt;p&gt;Use the graphics provided to place a Bible verse one at a time on the screen. Select as many participants as you desire for each round to race against one another.&lt;/p&gt;\r\n\r\n&lt;p&gt;The first person to find the verse reads it out loud. Encourage them to share what the verse has to do with being thankful.&lt;/p&gt;\r\n\r\n&lt;p&gt;Set the expectation before selecting participants that there is a sharing component beyond just finding and reading the verse.&lt;/p&gt;\r\n\r\n&lt;p&gt;Have some physical Bibles available for students who may not have one.&lt;br /&gt;\r\nTake a few moments to explain how to use a physical Bible (i.e., using the table of contents, chapters, and verse numbers).&lt;/p&gt;\r\n\r\n&lt;p&gt;Split up each round by switching between using physical Bibles and digital Bibles to give all students an opportunity to participate.
