This message is about overcoming whatever it is your students struggle with in their past. Teenagers will be encouraged—based on Jesus’ family history— to live life the way they know they are called to, regardless of what their family, or they, have done in the past. Our future doesn't always have to be defined by our past mistakes, or the mistakes of our family.

This message drives home the point that just because something bad is in your students’ past, doesn’t mean it must be in their future! Students must not allow themselves to lose sight of where they’ve come from, and how got they there.
