This was a great school-year kickoff series for us that could also work well for a January semester kickoff or even packaged as a retreat! If three weeks aren't enough for you, the series concept could easily be expanded. Additionally, the series leads up to an opportunity in the last week to present the Gospel and invite students to follow Jesus.

Week 1—Craving Series Intro—Luke 18:35-42 Everyone thinks they have a grip on what they want in life. But what would happen if they actually got what they wanted? Would they be fulfilled? Or would they be left craving more? How would we respond if Jesus showed up in our lives asking this question, “What do you want me to do for you?”

Week 2—Craving … Significance—Mt. 22:36-40, Mt. 28:18-20 Everyone wants his or her life to matter. How do students separate themselves from world’s definition of success (constantly achieving more and more), and turn towards finding true significance and purpose?

Week 3—Craving … Good News—Matthew 11:28-30 Everyone wants hope. Everyone wants forgiveness. At our core, we all crave the good news that is the truth of Jesus Christ. Beyond the “laws and politics” of religion, we crave to know the person of Jesus and the life that can be found in Him.
