A creative, organized, and easy-to-use Christmas Party (with gift exchange) for any youth ministry.

Details

Throw an easy to run Christmas party this year that is focused around cookies and a great "gift exchange" as a fun night to step away from your regular routine and create some new memories as a youth group.

Time together as a community is great for building community amongst your group and to encourage students to connect with others outside of their Small Groups.

“The Christmas Party” has been used in the trenches for the past eight years and has been fine-tuned specifically for any youth ministry to tweak and make their own. Everything from the main event "gift exchange" to administrative tools has been created and included for easy and immediate use.

In this resource, you will find that all documents are in Microsoft Word and are 100% editable to fit your specific youth group context. Use each document exactly as-is, tweak to fit or youth ministry, or use as idea starters to create something new!

This Resource Includes:

1. Materials List: A complete list of everything you’ll need to find, borrow, steal, or purchase from your local market to host this Christmas party and gift exchange.

2. Setup Checklist: A complete checklist of everything you will need to setup for your evening of building memories through a fun evening together.

3. Party Outline/Manuscript: An outline/manuscript of how the flow of the evening can go. This will give you what to say and when to say it – along with what to do and when to do it!

4. Ornament Coloring Contest Folder: This folder contains four additional documents needed to hold a fun little ornament creating contest for all students during their mingling time. These ornaments are fun to create and then decorate your room with.

5. Gift Exchange: In this folder, you will find all the additional documents you need to plan, explain & carry out the BEST gift exchange known to youth ministry. This folder includes helpful trackers to know when an item is frozen, numbers for each gift as well as detailed instructions. This gift exchange was created for large youth groups, but is easy to use for smaller groups as well.

6. Post-Party Evaluation: After every party, it’s important to sit down and evaluate what things you liked, need to improve on, or would blow up completely. This resource includes a completed post-party evaluation example from the trenches as well as a template for you to use yourself after the party is over.

7. Author Info: You can contact the authors for questions, brainstorms, or advice as they continue to use this party every year in their youth group.
